Welcome to the Miami University Archives

The Miami University Archives is part of the University Libraries Special Collections Department. The Archives contains manuscripts, publications, photographs, and artifacts dealing with Miami University history. It also houses many of the surviving records and publications of Oxford College for Women, one of the first U.S. Protestant schools to confer the Bachelor of Arts degree upon women.

Our Mission

The Miami University Archives supports the mission of Miami University and the Miami University Libraries by facilitating equal access to materials chronicling University history, administrative business, and teaching activities.

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Miami Stories Oral History Project

This project, coordinated by the University Archives, invites small groups of individuals who have common experiences -- students, faculty, staff -- to offer recollections of their Miami years and to hear reminiscences of others with whom they shared time at Miami. As a Bicentennial legacy project, these lively group discussions are recorded and preserved so that future generations may enjoy and study them.
